I saw this advertised and thought it might be a wonderful reenactment of the first moon landing. Then I saw the trailer and was almost physically ill. What a truly revolting picture on all levels - to not only portray man's greatest single achievement as a 'sting', but to provide sustenance to conspiracy nuts who claim it never happened is beyond vile. Every time I think modern culture can't get worse it reaches a new low.
It partly attempts to redeem itself in that regard and portray the greatness. But by then the fix is in and I became briefly, physically sick as well. I wanted to enjoy this movie. I think Tatum’s a fine actor, especially in “Stop-Loss” and “Coach Carter.” I admire Johansson’s outspoken defiance for Israel. I love Apple as a company for its origins, ethos and superior craftsmanship. Berlanti’s “Love, Simon” is excellent. As I wrote, this movie is an unfortunate mess.
