Ten years ago, Oprah Winfrey promoted the end of her TV show. This after 25 years on the airwaves. Granting an exclusive interview to CNN host Piers Morgan, the businesswoman leveraged terminating The Oprah Winfrey Show to showcase her struggling Oprah Winfrey Network. Today, the mogul continues to affect Western culture. At the time, I criticized Winfrey’s self-aggrandizement while recognizing her achievements. In retrospect, I am confident that my 2011 analysis, “25 Years of Oprah”, correctly identified self-centeredness as Oprah Winfrey’s defining characteristic. 

America has since deteriorated, however, and I think I failed to forecast the damage Winfrey could do. Sponsoring those who seek to destroy civilization, Winfrey started with the arts. From the moment the Oscar winner endorsed a siege upon Hollywood’s motion picture industry—Winfrey added her voice to a chorus demanding that movies be judged on the basis of skin color—to other examples, Winfrey denigrates America.
