Why I’m Voting Trump for President

This article matters to me. I’ve been thinking about why I’m voting Trump for president. It’s not complicated. I’m not a registered Republican. I’ve voted for Democrats throughout my life. I’ve also often voted for Republicans. I’ll add thoughts on my political philosophy and context. My reasoning comes down to this: Donald Trump bests Kamala Harris as a candidate for President of the United States, in terms of character, political philosophy and qualification.
In short, whatever is wrong with Trump—and almost everything is fundamentally wrong with Trump, as I first argued in July 2015 when I wrote scathing opposing arguments to his presidential candidacy, months or long before most anti-Trump intellectuals (including Objectivist intellectuals) did—the New York businessman is more likely to be stopped from doing damage if he wins than if Harris wins. If Harris is elected president, she’s likely to enact laws accelerating dictatorship in America.
