Autonomia is the forerunner to an unrefined, unrealized goal. When I began this second part of a writing and journalism career, at the end of the Eighties in the last days of a suicidal profession, I had made in my mind a certain goal. This prospect could become a vital endeavor when the West needs it most.
The free press matters. Unfortunately and incidentally, the press became known as the media around the time the medical profession was reduced to the generic term health care. With free speech, concepts and language under relentless siege, it occurs to me that this is not a coincidence. But, here, my topic is fortifying opposition: the goal to make a free press. I’ll write about my impetus, history and motivation in the future. For now, because every moment counts, I want to raise the issue with you.
