Finally, on April 18, 1936, Ayn Rand’s first novel, We the Living, was published. I’m re-reading the Russia-themed story for the sixth time and I plan to post a review which will mark the first time I’ve published a full review of Ayn Rand’s fiction.
Previously, I wrote a short review of the bestselling novel. My review of the 1942 film version was published in the Ayn Rand Institute’s newsletter.
History of the Printing Press
For purposes of my fiction research, I visited, toured and conducted research at the International Printing Museum in Southern California. It’s a fascinating place—worth the price of admission, which includes a tour—with facts, printing presses, books and other artifacts in a small industrial space near the South Bay region.
