Years ago, during an interview with the late host of Turner Classic Movies, Robert Osborne, this obscure film was recommended to me. I finally watched it. I didn’t know what to expect. I knew that it was made in 1991, long after movies had taken a turn for the worse and were a more cynical assault on the senses and less interesting. I knew that it wasn’t a blockbuster.
